Die Boote in der Liste sind aufsteigend nach ihrer Länge sortiert.
Die Abmessungen für die Länge und die Breite sind in Imperialen Einheiten (Fuss und Inch) angegeben.
Für die Umrechung in metrische Abmessungen gilt:
1 Fuss (Einzahl Foot, Mehrzahl Feet) = 12 Inch = 12 x 25,4mm = 304,8 mm

Und hier ist das, was Peter zu seiner Liste zu sagen hat:
Die Liste enthält die Länge und die Breite eines jeden aufgeführte Boots. Betrachten Sie die Liste als mein erster Versuch, so eine Liste zusammenzustellen.
Beachten Sie bitte, dass es keine genaue Abgrenzung gibt zwichen Ruderbooten, die auch gesegelt werden können und einem Segelboot, das man theoretisch auch rudern kann.Es mag durchaus sein, dass die Liste auch Bootwe enthält, die eigentlich daraus gelöscht werden sollten. Meine Faustregel besagt, dass ein Boot, das breiter ist als 1,5 Meter, für das Rudern eher ungeeignet ist.
Ich habe mich dafür entschieden, diese Dokument zur freien Verfügung zu stellen
Fühlen Sie sich frei, meine Liste ohne jede Einschränkung zu kopieren, irgendwo einzufügen, zu erweitern und zu verbessern. Jedermann darf davon eine kostenlose Kopie machen und sie nach eigenem Gutdünken publizieren. Für den Inhalt gilt die Lizenz „creative commons user licence“ (am Schluss der Seite).
Abmessungen
Die Abmessungen sind in Fuss und Ihces angegeben.
Ein Beispiel: Die Breitenangabe 3.10 entspricht einer Breite von 3 Fuss und 10 Inches.
Fehlendes
Viele Boote, die auf diese Liste gehören, sind nicht darauf. Das ist gut möglich, da ich nicht jedes Boot kenne, das es da draussen irgendwo gibt. Ich habe auch Links auf bestimmte Bootbauer eingefügt. Die sind jedoch nur als eine Möglichkeit anzusehen. Vergessen Sie nicht, dass auch Ihr Bootsbauer am Ort ebenfalls eines dieser Boote oder etwas sehr Ähnliches für Sie bauen kann, wenn Sie ihn danach fragen. Die Liste ist sicher nicht perfekt, aber ein guter Startpunkt.
Nutzen
Ich hoffe, dass diese Liste mit ihrer Vielzahl von Booten Ihnen als potentiellem Bootsbauer von Nutzen ist, Ihr ganz persönliches Boot zu finden und zu bauen. Ich hoffe ebenfalls, dass die Liste wächst und früher oder später wirklich als wichtiges Nachschlagewerk dienen kann.
Verbesserungen
Jeder, der zur Erweiterung und Korrektheit dieser Liste beiträgt, erhöht deren Nutzen für alle anderen.

Öffnen Sie die Liste mit eine Tabellenverarbeitungsprogramm wie z.B. Open Office Calc oder Excel. Selektieren Sie alle Einträge, und kopieren Sie sie in ein einfaches Textbearbeitungsprogramm (z.B. Notepad). Das entfernt alle „tab“ Zeichen, die beim Kopieren aus einer Tabelle mit kopiert werden. Markieren Sie den gesamten Text im Textberarbeitungprogramm, kopieren Sie ihn und fügen Sie ihn wo immer Sie wünschen in Ihren HTML Code ein. Das ist alles …
